Don't Scream

Don't scream

Don't scream

Because beyond the petrifying volume

And its curdling

depths

Is a lost

Young father

Trying to find his way through

Galvanised vindictive storms and

Precarious obsidian woods

Ill-prepared hubristic bumptious

Fatherhood

Who cries

In desperate

Silence

For failing to make you

Happy

As Happy

As you

Have made him
