Another Poop Poem

People will say

'Oh your Daddy is a one trick pony;

Poem after poem about poopy -

What a great, big phony.

Lacking in substance

With a derelict theme

His writing is poetically offensive -

Part of a disturbing scheme

No one takes him seriously

No one thinks he's good

He clearly has no idea

How to write about fatherhood.'

While what they say is mean

It does hold the truth

My poems are mostly silly

And wildly uncouth

As with everything

In this complex life

There is reason behind it;

Reasoning is rife

The fact of the matter is

For everyone's infinite jest

Daddy wrote you a poetry book

About what you do most and best.
